4: York University

York University plays an important role in Northwest Toronto.  As one of Canada’s largest universities, York has many leading and innovative programs.  Many departments have created programs which build relationships with other organizations in the community in order to work together to make the neighbourhood a better place to live, work and play.

From this stop walk north through the campus.  You will arrive at Ian MacDonald Blvd and Northwest Gate.  The Toronto Track and Field Centre is on the north side of Ian MacDonald Blvd on your right.

During the 2010 Jane’s Walk this stop was presented by York University’s office of Community Relations
